How Does Your Garage Door Mount to Our Structure?
Answer: Our rolling steel products are supported by our *guides that mount to the jams of the wall opening. Both the weight and the loads of these doors will be imposed on these jams.
*Guides: Attach to the jambs and support the entire door assembly.
How is the Hood of Your Rolling Garage Door Installed and Mounted?
Answer: For rolling steel doors under 14 ft. wide, the *hood is supported by steel flats inside of the door’s bracket plates. For doors over 14 ft. wide, hood supports will be supplied due to the multi-piece hood construction.
The hood supports must mount to a header or structure to support the splice in the hood sections. Hood supports only hold the weight of the sheet metal hood—they do not structurally support the door.
*Hood: a cover used to hide the coiled curtain and shaft assembly.
