John Polchin started his employment with Pennsylvania based Clopay Corporation over 30 years ago in 1986 in the Contract Engineering department. He worked through the ranks of various departments including the inaugural positions in the company’s Architectural Design Support and Marketing departments where he developed much of the company’s technical literature and AIA/CES architectural accredited educational programs.
John’s 34+ years of experience with the company prepared him well for his current role of a company exclusive Architectural Product Representative where he works directly with the architectural community throughout Central Texas and the surrounding areas.

John has vast experience with fire and smoke control product requirements as well as high wind and impact rated products, and is great at evaluating applications and recommending the most appropriate products, type of operation and options that best meet the interest of the end user. He will follow up with CAD details and matching specification language for use in architectural contract documents.
