Rapid Rolling Doors

We’ve designed these high performing doors to maximize your return on investment and provide the lowest lifetime cost and lowest cost-per-cycle versus other high-speed slatted products. Even more, you’ll notice that your cost-per-cycle savings dramatically increase. Operational up to 10 PSF maximum wind load.

Our APEX Pro SmartController™ intelligent control panel featuring plug and play wiring makes installing and servicing the Extreme^® 1024 High Performance Door easier than ever before. The LCD screen communicates safety status messages, provides easy-to-follow instructions for roll up door commissioning, and electronically sets door limits. When the security door limits are set, they are continuously monitored and adjusted.

• Standard construction up to 30' wide, 20' high*

*Maximum allowable for height and width independently. Not all configurations available for combined maximum widths and heights. Please consult factory for more information.

Standard Materials & Finishes

Extreme 1024 High Performance Doors come with a unique and lasting powder coat finish customized for high-cycle usage as standard. The door’s curtain material consists of:

• 18 or 22 gauge galvanized steel:
  • Finished with a rust-inhibiting CycleShield^® finish in Gray, Tan or White
• Stainless Steel Slats:
  • Minimum 20 gauge AISI type 304 #4 finish stainless steel
• The CycleShield finish for 1024 High Performance Doors. The base coat is consistent with ASTM A653, and is finished with a baked-on polyester powder coating. CycleShield is:
  • Friction and wear-resistant for high-cycle applications
  • Rust inhibiting and resistant to acids, alkalis and oils at normal temperatures
  • Recommended for exterior, corrosive and/or abrasive environments
  • Available as an option in a palette of more than 180 standard RAL colors
• For a more durable finish, upgrade to CycleShield^® Ultra™ powder coat finish. It is a polyester-based, textured, wear-resistant clear coat that provides improved durability against deterioration and/or marring of the curtain during regular use.

Extreme^® Series Door Drive & Control System

This door features our first intelligent control panel - the APEX Pro SmartController™. It features:

• Plug-and-play connections between the motor, control panel, and standard sensors
• LCD screen that walks user through
  • Initial door commissioning
  • Electrically set limits
  • Status and error messages
  • Many common door adjustments

This door also comes with a compact direct drive operator with no roller chains or sprockets and an internal inertia brake for safety.

Aesthetics

Custom Slats

Slats with multiple small window size punched slots that create an open curtain design. Maintains a high level of security while allowing for ventilation and visibility.

Vision Windows

Improve aesthetics and visibility with one- or two-way windows incorporated in the curtain.

One-way vision windows allow occupants to only see out offering a perfect balance of natural light, enhanced security, and privacy.

Hood and Operator Covers

Metal cover to protect the coil or operator from exterior weather, debris or to meet OSHA or UL 325 safety requirements.

Performance Upgrades

LED Light Kit

The LED Light Kit provides a high-visible status indication for overhead doors and grilles. Designed for challenging environments like fire and emergency services, parking garages, and warehouses, the effective LED light strips limit downtime, maintenance, and repair costs.

Seismic Performance Validation

We can provide project specific seismic calculations for all coiling doors that are mounted Face of Wall to steel or masonry. Seismic performance validation is per ASCE 7-05.

Vibration Isolators

Vibration Isolators effectively reduce the amount of vibration* caused by operation of doors and grilles.

*Vibration was reduced by 14% on doors and grilles with Vibration Isolators installed compared to doors and grilles without the system.

Safety & Protection

Sensing Edge

Smoother Installation and easy maintenance: Designed with a flexible black rubber TPE material, our new sensing edge has two fins that conform to variations in the floor on both the interior and exterior of your door or grille. This ensures a secure seal without requiring you to overset the bottom door limit. The new sensing edge is easy to clean and remains free from rust and dirt stains, maintaining a fresh uniform appearance.

Edges are tested and listed to UL 10B as a component of the rolling steel fire door assembly.

Stronger weather protection: Featuring flexible 1" sealing fins, our sensing edges withstand the elements, providing maximum protection.

Entrapment Protection Devices

Entrapment protection devices ensure that a motorized door or grille will not close on an object. If an object enters path of closure, the entrapment protection device will stop the door or grille from closing and return it to the fully open position.

Connect the SmartSync Diagnostic Tool to the APEX controller for instant door or grille diagnostics. This tool empowers field technicians and Electrical Support Specialists to effortlessly diagnose, repair, and resolve issues with the APEX controller—streamlining your workflows and helping customers get back to business.

WeatherGard™

Include weather seals at the guides and bottom bar with an internal hood baffle at coil housing. Lintel mounted nylon brush seal also available.
