This insulated rolling door is designed with state-of-the-art materials, including mineral wool insulation and a CPVC backer, offering a U-factor rating of 0.532* for the full assembly. Rigorous third-party U-factor testing ensures that the Thermiser Max - Low U Door carries the industry's most accurate measurement of thermal performance.

The Thermiser Max - Low U Door is constructed with an insulated curtain, patented perimeter seal, and thermally-broken guide, minimizing the speed of heat transferred through the door assembly. Designed for exterior applications where climate control is needed the most, the Thermiser Max - Low U insulated steel door holds its own.

Along with its standout thermal performance, our Thermiser Max - Low U Door has another perk. The door carries a Sound Transmission Rating (STC) of 27* for the full assembly when configured with 18GA steel front slats, offering more control over interior and exterior noise levels. Doors meet ASHRAE® 90.12, IECC® 2021 and California's Title 24 air infiltration requirements with an independently tested value of less than 0.3 CFM/ft2. The Thermiser Max – Low U Door can also be configured to meet a maximum operational wind load of 20 PSF..

Usage

These doors are constructed for daily use and can withstand operation of up to 20 cycles per day – that’s 50,000 cycles for the lifetime of the door.

If your requirements call for more than 20 cycles per day, high cycle construction is available.

Available Operators

Our doors can open by motor, chain, hand-crank, or push-up operation, depending on size, weight and/or frequency of operation.

• Model MG: A medium duty operator for doors that will cycle less than 20 times per day
• Model SG: A super duty, full logic operator for larger doors or doors that may periodically cycle more than 20 times per day
• EverGard: Features a battery backup system that will last a minimum of 48 hours after power loss. This allows users to operate the door in the same manner as when there is AC power for up to 10 cycles
• NEMA 7/9: Multiple sensing device and intrinsically safe board
• NEMA 4/12 & NEMA4X: Waterproof SGH operator, suitable for low pressure direct spray.

Chain Diverter for MGH Operators

This option moves the auxiliary chain out of the clear opening and to the side of the door – enabling free movement through the door and making a chain bag unnecessary.

The LED Light Kit provides a high-visible status indication for overhead doors and grilles. Designed for challenging environments like fire and emergency services, parking garages, and warehouses, the effective LED light strips limit downtime, maintenance, and repair costs.

Vibration Isolators

Vibration Isolators effectively reduce the amount of vibration* caused by operation of doors and grilles.

Seismic Performance Validation

We can provide project specific seismic calculations for all coiling doors that are mounted Face of Wall to steel or masonry. Seismic performance validation is per ASCE 7-05.

Sensing Edge

Smoother Installation and easy maintenance: Designed with a flexible black rubber TPE material, our new sensing edge has two fins that conform to variations in the floor on both the interior and exterior of your door or grille. This ensures a secure seal without requiring you to overset the bottom door limit. The new sensing edge is easy to clean and remains free from rust and dirt stains, maintaining a fresh uniform appearance.

Edges are tested and listed to UL 10B as a component of the rolling steel fire door assembly.

SmartSync™ Wireless Safety Edge & Wireless Remote Controller

The Smartsync™ Safety Edge Kit is an upgrade for our existing Safety Edge. This allows for wireless communication between the transmitter and the receiver, eliminating the coiling cord in the door opening.

The Smartsync™ Wireless Remote comes equipped with an anti-shock design for industrial handling. This heavy-duty remote is compatible with most motor-operated doors, grilles or counter door.*

SafetyGard UL325 Approved Light Curtain

A UL325 approved non-contact primary entrapment device that prevents damage to an object in the door’s pathway in addition to minimizing damage to the closure itself.

Entrapment Protection Devices

Entrapment protection devices ensure that a motorized door or grille will not close on an object. If an object enters path of closure, the entrapment protection device will stop the door or grille from closing and return it to the fully open position.

Guide-Mounted Interlocks

An electrical cutout switch to prevent motor operation if locking device is not first disengaged.

HDBB (Heavy Duty Bottom Bar)

The HDBB is 350% stronger than traditional bottom bars, preventing forklift damage to your Service or Insulated Door. The HDBB can pay for itself after the first impact and significantly reduce future maintenance costs.

RapidResponse

doors are provided with 3' or 6' of extra curtain, an impactable bottom bar and removable lower guide sections. These features allow for faster repair of slat damage, reducing downtime and maximizing the lifetime value of your door.

Superimposed Doors
