StoreDefender^™ Door

Riot Protection

The StoreDefender™ Door features an 18 gauge curtain, 6” heavy duty bottom bar, tamper resistant fasteners and continuous wind locks that keep the curtain in place during crowd pressure. It also comes with a screw kit that will allow the top slats to be attached to the barrel to prevent lifting attempts. All of these components make the StoreDefender Door able to withstand a moderate risk attack with 3+ attackers and a few hand tools.

It is extremely versatile, making it ideal for any storefront or back of house application. It is available as a standard service door or a Thermiser Max insulated door, it can be installed interior or exterior and is available in all of our standard finishes in addition to more than 180 powder coat colors.

This door is available in 2’4” x 3’ to 30’ x 40’.

Standard Materials & Finishes

The standard materials and finishes for StoreDefender are:

• Curtain - 18 gauge galvanized steel with GalvaNex™ polyester enamel finish in Gray, Tan, White, Brown or Black.
• Guides – Structural steel with powder coat to match the curtain.
• Bottom bar - 6” tall made of aluminum in mill or powder coat finish.

Available Operators

The MG industrial duty operator is standard. The SGH super duty operator is optional for applications requiring over 20 cycles per day.

Resistance Rating

Tested* to more than 4500 lbs. of effort to lift 3"

Tested* to more than 2500 lbs. for deflection (did not test to failure, bottom bar deflection of 3")

*The door used for testing was 14'1" x 10'

Aesthetics

AtmoShield™ Powder Coating

Textured powder coat finish that combats the environments harsh wear and tear. This finish provides a thicker, more scratch resistant coat for added product protection.

SpectraShield™ Powder Coat Finish

Polyester finish in more than 180 colors for durability, aesthetics, superior finish life and cost effectiveness.

Performance Upgrades

LED Light Kit

The LED Light Kit provides a high-visible status indication for overhead doors and grilles. Designed for challenging environments like fire and emergency services, parking garages, and warehouses, the effective LED light strips limit downtime, maintenance, and repair costs.

Vibration Isolators

Vibration Isolators effectively reduce the amount of vibration* caused by operation of doors and grilles.

*Vibration was reduced by 14% on doors and grilles with Vibration Isolators installed compared to doors and grilles without the system.

Safety & Protection

Sensing Edge

Smoother Installation and easy maintenance: Designed with a flexible black rubber TPE material, our new sensing edge has two fins that conform to variations in the floor on both the interior and exterior of your door or grille. This ensures a secure seal without requiring you to overset the bottom door limit. The new sensing edge is easy to clean and remains free from rust and dirt stains, maintaining a fresh uniform appearance.

Edges are tested and listed to UL 10B as a component of the rolling steel fire door assembly.

SmartSync™ Wireless Safety Edge & Wireless Remote Controller

The Smartsync™ Safety Edge Kit is an upgrade for our existing Safety Edge. This allows for wireless communication between the transmitter and the receiver, eliminating the coiling cord in the door opening.

The Smartsync™ Wireless Remote comes equipped with an anti-shock design for industrial handling. This heavy-duty remote is compatible with most motor-operated doors, grilles or counter door.*
