Through cutting-edge engineering, we’ve combined our fire rated counter door with an in-tube hand crank, achieving the smallest footprint of any door of its kind on the market. Concealed smoke gasketing within the guides and a bottom bar that tucks flush into the headbox when opened contributes to a seamless, soffit-like appearance.

We also offer integral frame and sill units that are UL labeled for 1 ½ hours. Integral Frame units offer a custom appearance and a quick install, slipping easily into an existing wall.

Our Fire Rated Counter Doors are anything but ordinary, fusing reliable performance with cutting-edge design. Doors come with color-matched fasteners, in your choice of galvanized or stainless steel, and are available with our RAL powder coat colors and protective finishes for a customized look. Opt for an easier install and a more customized look with an integral frame and sill, with a UL Label ensuring safety for up to 1 ½ hours.

Standard Materials & Finishes

Counter Fire Shutter curtains are available in:

• 22 gauge galvanized steel
  • Exclusive GalvaNex™ finish in gray, tan, white or black.

Mounting Options

Rolling Counter Fire Shutters are for use in rated masonry or drywall construction (wood or metal studs).

Fire Specific Options

SmokeShield^® Seal Package – Our smoke seal adds elevated smoke and draft control.

Annunciators – An optional safety device that provides a visual and / or audible advanced warning when the door is about to close. 

Battery Back-Up Devices – This device prevents fire doors from closing during a power outage.

Firefly & Firefly BB Release Devise – An optional safety device that can be connected to the buildings alarm system to close a FireGard operated door on alarm activation instead of  via the fusible link.

Omni Powder Coat - allows you to match your rolling steel doors with select Clopay sectional doors to create a unified and refined style.

AtmoShield™ Powder Coating - Textured powder coat finish that combats the environments harsh wear and tear. This finish provides a thicker, more scratch resistant coat for added product protection.

Hood and Operator Covers - Metal cover to protect the coil or operator from exterior weather, debris or to meet OSHA or UL 325 safety requirements.

SpectraShield™ Powder Coat Finish - Polyester finish in more than 180 colors for durability, aesthetics, superior finish life and cost effectiveness.

Performance Upgrades

Seismic Performance Validation – Project specific seismic calculations are available for all rolling doors that are mounted face of wall to steel or masonry. Seismic performance validation is per ASCE 7-05.

Testing Station - Easily and safely test and reset the functionality of the fire door at floor level. Can be mounted flush or recessed for convenience.

Safety & Protection

Sensing Edge - Designed with a flexible black rubber TPE material, our sensing edge has two fins that form to variations in the floor on both the interior and exterior of your door or grille. This ensures a secure seal without requiring you to over set the bottom door limit.

Guide-Mounted Interlocks – An electrical cutout switch to prevent motor operation if the locking device is not first disengaged.

Entrapment Protection Device – Ensures that a motorized door or grille will not close on an object. If an object enters the opening, the entrapment protection device will stop the door or grille from closing and return to the fully open position.

SmartSync™ Wireless Safety Edge – This is used to upgrade the existing sensing edge to wireless communication between the transmitter and the receiver. This eliminates the coiling cord in the door opening.

Rated Integral Frame and Sill

Our Rolling Counter Fire Shutters with Integral Frame and Sill (counter top) are designed with reduced coil, bracket and header size (8” minimum) to fit tight clearances.
