    Yes. Canyon Ridge doors are built with a durable insulated steel base door topped with moisture-resistant composite that won’t rot, warp or crack in humid coastal environments. The doors are available with built-in WindCode® reinforcement and impact-rated glass for hurricane-prone regions.
  • I don’t see the stain color I want in the Canyon Ridge standard offering. Can I have my builder stain my door after it’s installed?

  • How do I touch up a scratch on my Canyon Ridge door?
    Start by filling the voids with wood putty.  Apply a lighter base coat, then a darker top coat using paint and gel stain or two coats of paint. Wipe off excess top coat before it dries to reveal the base coat for a textured look. See the care and maintenance guide for repair tips.

    If you want the look of wood without the upkeep, a composite overlay door is an excellent choice. A Canyon Ridge faux wood door is constructed with an insulated steel base door for strength and durability fully clad in with moisture-resistant composite molded from real wood boards. This gives it a realistic grain pattern and texture while keeping it low maintenance. Like wood, the door can be painted or stained for a look that is distinctly yours. Real wood doors require regular surface maintenance and are susceptible to moisture, rot and termite damage.
  • What do you mean by cladding and overlays?
    Cladding and overlays are composite material that are adhered to a steel base door or frame to create the design. For example, a Canyon Ridge 5-layer door has a layer of cladding applied to the insulated steel base door that is topped with overlays.
